‘I look at that picture of the flattened street, and think this is all that remains of people's homes, dreams, life's work, life... Seeing and reading about it all a few days ago I felt it wasn't enough just to empathise or sympathise, something more needed doing, but what could I do, half a world away ? ... I write & play, have friends the World over who write and play... Couldn't we do an album, even if it didn't raise much money it would surely help raise and keep awareness alive ? maybe even lift spirits a little…
